We need your help in making everyone that comes to church feel welcomed!
Parking Lot/Golf Cart Team:
The overall church experience begins in the parking lot, therefore this ministry impacts and influences every person who drives onto Central’s campus. Roles include welcoming people with friendly greetings, supplying assistance to those with wheelchairs or children, ushering first-time guests into special parking and escorting them into the buildings, driving golf carts as shuttles to provide easy access from the parking lot to the church buildings, and ensuring the parking lot is a safe and inviting environment.
The ministry of ushering is a crucial part of the church. The church usher duties include making people feel welcome, assisting with seating, collecting offerings, serving communion, distributing bulletins and other brochures/flyers, assisting pastors and staff with people management, and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
A church greeter is often the first person people see when visiting or attending a worship service. Greeters perform a major role in ensuring that people see and experience the love of Christ. This ministry is designed to make all first-time guests and members feel welcome. This includes warm greetings of smiles, hugs, and/or handshakes, assistance with doors and helping those with questions or needing directions.
Welcome desk volunteers provide overall hospitality to visitors and members that goes beyond an initial greeting. This includes walking adults and/or children to classrooms and other locations on campus, fielding and answering a broad range of questions from guests, selling church event tickets, helping with event registrations, and serving as the point person in the sanctuary for all first-time guests.
