Throughout the Old Testament, God led His people using judges and kings, and He spoke to His people using priests and prophets. We will examine these four leadership roles, focusing primarily on the prophets and kings, since these were the lengthiest and most prominent leadership roles in the history of Israel. We will see how God's chosen leaders were sometimes effective and sometimes ineffective in leading the people to follow and obey God, and we will learn how God dealt with both the leaders and the citizens of Israel. There are lessons to be learned as God continues to deal with His leaders and His people today.
Beginning Jan. 16, 2020, our men's group will be examining apologetics, the study of defending Christianity. Learn how to support your faith as we use the book "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist" as a study guide. We will examine the topics of history, philosophy, physical and supernatural worlds, good vs. evil, and the evidence that the Bible is the reliable source for knowing about God. The course will run between 20 and 25 weeks. Purchase of the book is optional, but recommended. Register here for the new study.
