Sunday, Dec. 9 services at Charlotte and Lake Park are cancelled.
While church membership has no bearing on one's salvation, being connected to a local church in this way can strengthen one's relationship with the Lord and others.
At Central, we want the membership process to be both fun and informative, and we are always happy to answer any questions you have. Following are the basic steps for membership at Central. Upon completion, you will be received into membership, via a public affirmation during a Sunday morning worship service.
1. Attend the "Life at Central" Class
The Life at Central class is designed to inform you of our core beliefs, let you know what it looks like to be a Central member, and introduce you to some of our staff members. Even if you have not yet determined whether you would like to become a member of Central, you are welcome to attend the class. Membership classes occur at 10:15 on Sunday mornings in February, June and September. These classes are held in Room 203 of the Family Life Center. Check the schedule of events for additional information.
2. Attend the Pastor’s Perspective
Pastor’s Perspective is a session with Pastor Livingston where he shares his background, the history of Central Church and his unique perspective on church membership. This session is held on a designated Wednesday evening. Registration is recommended.
3. Interview with a Pastoral Staff Member
Each person who completes the Life at Central classes and turns in a membership information form will automatically will be assigned to a member of the pastoral staff for an informal interview. If you decided you are not interested in membership at this point, please inform the staff member when they contact you to schedule your interview.
