Baby Dedication is an act of faith on the part of parents. They stand before their church family as recognition that their child is a gift from God, and dedicate the child and themselves back to Him in His service. This public statement says to their church family that they commit to raising their child in a Christian home, and give the church attendees the opportunity to pray for the family. (This public declaration is not related to the salvation of the child - a decision which he/she makes at an age when they are mature enough to understand its significance.)
At Central, we hold several dedication services each year, at the beginning of the Sunday service. Space is limited, so we ask that you register prior to the posted service date in which you wish to participate. If you have not previously dedicated a child at Central, you will be asked to attend a class the Wednesday prior to that Sunday. After you register, you'll receive additional information via email about the class and/or service.
