HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
1. Attend the Life at Central Class
The Life at Central class is designed to inform you of our core beliefs, let you know what it looks like to be a Central member, and introduce you to some of our staff members. Even if you have not yet determined whether you would like to become a member of Central, you are welcome to attend the class.
You will have one month to attend two Sunday morning Life at Central classes. The first Sunday of each month will be session one, the second Sunday of each month will be session two. The classes will repeat on the third and fourth Sundays of the month. Adults, high schoolers and middle schoolers are required to attend the class in order to become a member. The Sunday classes occur in the months of February, June and September. Registration is not required.
The Life at Central classes are held at 10:15 am at the Charlotte campus in room 203 of the Family Life Center.
2. Attend the Pastor’s Perspective
The Pastor’s Perspective is a session with Pastor Livingston where he shares his background, the history of Central Church and his perspective on church membership. This session is held on a designated Wednesday evening. Registration is recommended.
3. Complete the Membership Information Form
Please, fill out the membership information form. Completion of this form, including your personal testimony, is necessary in order to proceed in the membership process.
4. Interview with a Pastoral Staff Member
Each person who completes the classes and turns in a membership information form will automatically be assigned to a member of the pastoral staff for an informal interview. If you decided you are not interested in membership at this point, you should inform the staff member when they contact you to schedule your interview.
Bring the results of your spiritual gifts survey to your interview.
5. New Member Public Affirmation
Finally, you will be received into membership, Public Affirmation, during a Sunday morning worship service.
