Sundays, September 11-October 9
Location: FLC 107
Leader: Jon Dunn

Budget. The word can strike terror in the heart of even the strongest man or woman. Being intentional with our money isn’t such a bad thing. In fact, as Christians, we are called to be good stewards of the resources God has provided. If you don’t have a budget, you have absolutely no control of your finances. Budgets are one of the first steps to take in financial freedom and working yourself out of debt.

When you have a budget, you are taking charge of telling your money where it needs to go rather than it telling you where it wants to go.

Even if you don’t have debt and are financially stable, you still need a budget so you can just monitor your spending and make your money work for you rather than against you. We will include a special session called "Finances for the Holidays."

Join us as we learn to better build and manage our finances God’s way. No charge but registration required.

Acts: Witnesses, Empowered by His Spirit

Adult Class, Charlotte Campus
Monday, Sep 12, 2016 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Mondays, September 12-October 31

Location: Family Life Center Room 106

Online cost: $20.66 (Precept Upon Precept Workbook); $16.58 (In & Out Workbook)

Leaders: Ed and Gail Johnson

In the Book of Acts (chapters 1-12), Luke recorded what happened after Jesus’ ascension to the Father. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel.

This inductive study shows how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and how you, too, can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in the believers in Acts. This same power helps you endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ, and embrace His power in your life.

Be encouraged by the results of the faithful servants in Acts bringing forth truth in a dark world, and watch as the early church grows numerically, geographically and culturally.

God's Prescription for Enhancing Your Love Life

Charlotte Campus, Couples, Life Care Center
Monday, Sep 12, 2016 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Mondays, September 12-November 14
Location: Life Care Center Seminar Room
Online Cost: $51.26 per couple

Everyone desires to love and be loved. The pursuit of "true love" is everywhere you look! It's romanticized on TV and in the movies we watch. Countless books and songs are written about it and there are hundreds of online dating websites and relationship seminars – all designed to "help" you find that special someone to love.

Why is "true love" so elusive? Could it be because the picture of love we see in today's culture is nothing more than an illusion? In this series by Chip Ingram, married and engaged couples discover God’s plan for securing and nurturing genuine love and growing in intimacy for a lifetime.

It is our desire that everyone benefit from the opportunities offered through Central's Life Care Center ministry. If you need financial assistance for this class, please do not hesitate to contact the church office.

Genius of Generosity (Couples)

Charlotte Campus, Couples
Sunday, Oct 23, 2016 10:15 am - 11:45 am
Sundays, October 23-November 13
Located in FLC 106
Leaders: Joe & Alison Cherry
Cost: $10. Online price is an additional $.46.

The "secrets" to being financially savvy are all around us. So the question is, "What is so genius about generosity?" After all, our world celebrates people who have learned how to have it all - not those who've learned to give it all away.

The Bible teaches that the wisest thing we can do with our resources is learn to invest them in His Kingdom, and that becoming a generous person is the smartest way to prepare for an eternal future.

This study for couples offers fresh, thought-provoking concepts about generosity. Don't be satisfied with earthly stock options and interest rates; learn the genius of generosity and expand your portfolio of earthly rewards!

Tuesday, Nov 15, 2016 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Location: Weatherby Hall in the Family Life Center
Online ticket price: $10.46 (meal included, purchase by November 6)

Each year before the incredible business of the holidays consumes us, we reach out to help those in need. Our focus this year is the persecuted church. The year 2015 was one of the worst in several centuries for Christian persecution around the globe.

From front page headlines of mass killings by Muslim extremists, to a father imprisoned and tortured in Russia, to a young woman missing without a trace, tragedy too often results from proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Members of Central will share their experiences from their native countries. We will conclude the night with a stirring video and prayer, and we'll receive an offering for persecuted Christians around the world.

Wednesday Nights in the Fall at Central

Charlotte Campus, JV, Varsity
Wednesday, May 24, 2017 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

September 7, 2016-May 31, 2017 • 6:30-8pm

Wednesday Worship
• Join us in the sanctuary for music, scripture, testimonies and teaching – and at the heart of it all is prayer. We’ll pray alone, in small groups and corporately. There will also be anointing services and times of intercession for pressing concerns. Each Wednesday is different, but something always happens when we pray.

Awana
• For preschoolers and kids grades K-4, this international program offers a fun, proven approach for early evangelism and discipleship. Scripture-based programs, exciting games and classroom and family activities promote Bible literacy and help kids develop lifelong faith in Christ. The Awana program is free, and this session concludes in May. Register here on the website.
