Race Starts in the Student Life Center Parking Lot

Central church invites you to join us for our 5th annual Pure Religion 5K to promote awareness and fight against human trafficking. There are millions enslaved worldwide – more than at any other point in human history. After drug trafficking, human trafficking, or modern-day slavery, is the second largest criminal industry in the world. We can't imagine the horror of a 12-year-old girl being sold to a brothel and there are an estimated 100,000 minors in the United States alone trapped in sex trafficking. Please join with hundreds in the Charlotte community as we walk/run for freedom of those enslaved.

Early bird rates until February 28, 2015.
T-shirt deadline is April 6, 2015.
Sponsors are needed for the 2015 race. Contact Brenda at brendal@centralchurchofgod.org

10 Principles For Rewarding and Respectful Relationships

Saturday, Apr 25, 2015 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Charlotte Campus, Life Care Center

Presenters: Dr. Robert and Cindi Dodd, MA, LPC,
Level Ground Christian Counseling

Relationships. God created us for them and while they can be such a blessing they can also leave us feeling unappreciated, disrespected and rejected at times. Whether the pain inflicted by someone we care about and love is intentional or unintentional, the result can be damaging emotionally, spiritually and even physically. It can negatively affect our attitude and approach to life and our Christian testimony. In Proverbs, we are instructed to guard our hearts. As Christians, how do we do that in relationship and love like Christ at the same time?

In this seminar, you will learn ten biblical and practical ways to set appropriate limits and speak the truth in love to family members, friends, coworkers, and anyone you care about. You will be surprised how joyful and peaceful you can be, even when someone you love isn't acting very loving or treating you well.

Cost of Seminar: $25 (Online registration includes a convenience fee of 76¢.)
It is our desire that no one be discouraged from participating in the Life Care Center ministry due to financial concerns. If you need financial assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know.
